The architecture team
Your organisation may have a team dedicated to architecture or you may get along with key people in the IT
The biggest issue I see today with architecture is that in many organisations, it is typically seen as a small group of technical people who learned how the business works and can bridge the gap between I.T. and the wider business.
Unlike our name-sakes who architect the physical world around us, there is no real central body that can help with education and standards. Yes, there are plenty of resources available but much of these materials feel very academic or at a level that seems too complex or too abstract to help with the current business problems faced today.
Having worked in I.T. and architecture for decades in many well-known medium and large organisations, I have realised that architecture and architects can be the key driver to success for every organisation – if it is done right. In fact, I would argue that it is not that hard.
Now that may seem like a bold statement when architecture in many organisations is in a pretty poor state I but when you do something again and again over many years as I have done, you tend to learn what works and what does not.
So, if you are a business leader, it is our simple goal to demonstrate to you how a good architecture team can help you transform your organisation.
If you are an architecture leader, we want to help you transform your team into a transformational force in your organisation.
If you are an architect, we want to help you lead the way and give you the practical skills and tools to help.
And if you are an aspiring architect then we want to help guide you on your journey.
Me and my team will do everything we can to help you become a force for good so join us on the journey.
Welcome to the age of the enterprise architect.
